What to expect

How it works

The source pixels are drawn first, then bold system-font text is measured and reduced if it would exceed the safe width. Positioning includes padding based on image size. The browser draws a dark stroke plus the selected fill color and opacity before flattening everything into the chosen output format.

Know before using

Limits and edge cases

  • This tool supports one text line on one image, not logo files, tiled watermarks, rich typography, or batch placement.
  • A flattened watermark discourages casual reuse but is not tamper-proof; it can be cropped or edited, and the exported image no longer has editable watermark layers.
Common questions

Yes. Image watermark is free to use.

Does image watermark keep my work private?

Yes. Your work stays private while you use the tool — nothing you enter is uploaded.

Does adding a watermark change the image dimensions?

No. The output canvas uses the source width and height. Only the pixels and selected file encoding change.
